Amy Alice Lydell
Other Names:
Hatter or Reaper
Age:
17
Gender
Female
District:
1
Occupation:
Black Smith
Face Claim?
Alice Liddell Cosplay
Appearance:
Amy stands at about 5' 4" tall and she has a rather petite build, but despite her small size she is built. Amy has black hair that is styled short, and deep green eyes that give her a slightly menacing appearance. She has a full form as well as decent muscles, but she covers them with dark outfits. She is quite attractive with her full curves and decent bust, but she isn't likely to show them off. The dress she wears in black and not quite form fitting so it hides her true qualities. She doesn't blend in with the rest of her district, but she doesn't really stand out either.
Personality:
Amy is a very quiet girl. She is rather anti-social, but she is quick to anger and most people would say she's mad. She isn't one to back down from a fight, and if provoked will most likely win any fight she is placed into. Amy is a fighter and a rather cruel fighter at that. She won't kill someone quickly, she will soak up their pain as she tortures them in brutal ways. If she was picked as a tribute, she'd most likely win. She is sly and cunning and knows her way around most weapons, but her favorite is blades.
It isn't easy for Amy to make friends due to the fact that she's never had any. She's disconnected from most people due to the fact that she doesn't think the same way they do. She is amused by the pain of others and even takes pleasure in it, especially if she is the one causing the pain. She has a strange resistance to pain which gives her an edge in any fights she finds herself in.
History:
Amy was born in District 12 to Andrew & Melissa Lydell. She was raised well due to the fact that her father was the best black smith in Panem. His weapons were sought after, not only for the games, but also for protection use. His weapons are found in the hands of mayors and a couple might even be found to be owned by the President himself.
Amy was strange from birth, no matter what anyone did, she would always wind up in fights and this concerned her parents so they saved up enough money to move to he capitol and have her home schooled. They lived there for 10 years but when her father started getting too old to make weapons they returned to District 2 and continued their lives, but by this time Amy was already extremely detached from people and returning to school only made things worse.
When she was 13 she dropped out of school and began practicing smithing under her uncle, who was second only to her father. She absorbed every bit of knowledge she could; to the dissatisfaction of her mother she began making weapons in her father's place and her work was astounding. People came from all around to buy her pieces and soon she was set and there was no turning back.
At 15 a boy her age insulted her for not being a lady and she beat him to death, from that point on she knew what she was destined to be. She decided when the next hunger games came, she would volunteer and have the chance to kill for fun.
In-Character Sample:
The air was filled with the stench of sweat. Amy leaned back from the fire and took a breath, she was soaked and her hair stuck to her skin like a magnet. She took a step back and pulled a red hot piece of iron from the heat and pirouetted around and slammed it against the anvil. She reached up and grabbed her hammer and began pounding the iron into shape. Sweat dripped off the end of her nose and hissed as it splashed into the hot metal.
She shifted and plunged the metal into a bucket of water; she let it stay there for a few seconds before pulling it out and examining it, "Not Ready yet" she muttered to herself and shoved it back into the embers. She heard a noise behind her, not many people ventured into her shop so she spun around, quickly grabbing a blade and thrusting in the direction of the noise. She paused and lowered the blade at the sight of her mother and she let out an annoyed sigh. "I have nothing to say to you woman, so go away"
The woman sighed, her face sad and weary, she didn't move but she opened her mouth and spoke, "Please, please stop this. This is no work for a woman." she said and her voice trembled. Amy's arched an eyebrow then rolled her eyes, setting the weapon down and turning back to her work. She chewed on her bottom lip, "Too bad, this is what i'm good at. I'm a fighter and this is what I will do. I will understand every weapon. Go away" her voice was sharp and threatening and it made the woman cringe. She took a step back and with a sigh she retreated from the shop, leaving Amy alone again.
